Watson's double-double lands him TBL Player of the Week award

30-year old American point guard Maurice Watson (178-PG-1993) had an amazing evening in the last round for Gaziantep Basketbol and receives a Hoops Agents TBL Player of the Week award for round 21.
He got a double-double of 26 points and 15 assists, while his team edged out Ormanspor (#14, 8-13) 97-96. Gaziantep maintains the 3rd position in Turkish TBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Gaziantep will need more victories to improve their 16-5 record. In the team's last game Watson had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Gaziantep's top player in his first season with the team. Creighton University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Watson is league's best passer with 11.3apg. Watson is in league's top in and averages solid 51.3% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Myles Mack (178-PG-1993) of Buyuksehir Hastanesi Konyaspor Basketbol. He is American guard in his first season at Konyaspor. In the last game Mack recorded an impressive 39 points and 7 assists. Bad luck as Konyaspor was edged by the higher-ranked Kapakli Spor (#7, 10-11) 89-85. This loss caused Konyaspor to drop to 10th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 9-12 record. Mack is a newcomer at Konyaspor and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.8ppg (#5). His other stats are also decent: 4.1rpg and 6.7apg.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Ian Miller (191-G-1991) of OGM Ormanspor Genclik Ankara (#14). Miller got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. He went also for eight assists. Despite Miller's great performance the Ormanspor lost 96-97 to the higher-ranked Gaziantep (#3, 16-5). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Ormanspor not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 13 games, recording just eight victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Miller could try to bring Ormanspor's a little bit higher in the standings. Miller has individually a great season in Turkey. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.6ppg (4th best). He also has a FGP of 51.5% and 3PT: 46.7%.
