Karlie Samuelson is a newcomer at Galatasaray

Galatasaray M.P. Istanbul (KBSL) has added 29-year old British-American guard Karlie Samuelson (183cm-1995, college: Stanford) to their roster for the 2024-25 season. She is the second foreign player on the team, joining South Korean Ji-Su Park. Samuelson most recently played for the Washington Mystics (WNBA), where she averaged 11.0ppg, 2.5rpg, 2.0apg, and 1.3spg in 6 games. Last season, she played for Lions in the United Kingdom, competing in three different competitions. She also played 2 games in Euroleague, averaging 7.0ppg, 2.5rpg, and 2.5apg, and 11 games in British WBBL with impressive stats of 15.2ppg, 3.8rpg, 2.8apg, and 1.3spg. Samuelson was named League Player of the Week during her time in the British WBBL.
She represented the United Kingdom at the European Championships 24 years ago. Her team reached the Semifinals and she averaged over 11 ppg.
Samuelson is a very experienced player. Thanks to her pro career, she has played on three different continents (Europe, Australia, and North America) in six different countries. She has previously played professionally in Australia (Townsville Fire), Belgium (Castors Braine), Italy (Vigarano), Spain (Avenida), the United Kingdom, and the WNBA (Dallas Wings, LA Sparks, Seattle Storm, and Phoenix Mercury).
She won an Australian WNBL championship title in 2023. Samuelson was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LF Endesa Honorable Mention in 2022.
She graduated from Stanford University in 2017 and it'll be her eighth season as a pro player.
