CBK Mersin (KBSL) has agreed to terms with Karlie Samuelson for the new 2024-25 season. The 29-year-old British-American guard, who stands at 183cm and played college basketball at Stanford, most recently played for the Washington Mystics in the WNBA. During her time with the Mystics, she averaged 9.9ppg, 2.9rpg, and 2.4apg in 17 games.
She also represented the United Kingdom at the FIBA EuroBasket in Serbia and Latvia five years ago.
Samuelson is a very experienced player. She has played professionally in seven different countries on three different continents. She has played in Europe, Australia, and North America. Samuelson has played for teams in Australia (Townsville Fire), Belgium (Castors Braine), Italy (Vigarano), Spain (Avenida), United Kingdom (Lions), WNBA (Dallas Wings, LA Sparks, Seattle Storm, and Phoenix Mercury), and Turkey (Galatasaray).
She won an Australian WNBL championship title in 2023. She was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LF Endesa Honorable Mention in 2022.
Samuelson graduated from Stanford University in 2017 and it'll be her eighth season as a pro player.
