Besiktas JK Istanbul (KBSL) inked 28-year old American 185cm guard Kennedy Burke (college: UCLA). She played most recently at Ormanspor. In 11 KBSL games in Turkey she averaged impressive 16.5ppg, 5.5rpg, 1.4apg and 1.8spg last season.
The previous (2024) summer she played at Liberty in WNBA.
In 2019 she was drafted by Dallas Wings (WNBA) in second round (22nd overall).
The former University of California at Los Angeles standout is in her seventh season in pro basketball.
She represented USA at the World Championship U17 for Women in Czech Republic eleven years ago. Burke's team won Gold and she had almost 4 points per game.
Burke is a very experienced player. She has played also professionally in France (Villeneuve), Italy (Sassari), Spain (Girona) and WNBA (Indiana Fever, Washington Mystics and Seattle Storm) and Turkey (Kayseri).
Among many awards she was voted Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LF Endesa Defensive Player of the Year back in 2022.
