Gaziantep Basketbol (TBL) agreed terms with 26-year old center Ragip Berke-Atar (210cm-1999) for upcoming 2025-26 season. Berke-Atar played last season at Ankaragucu. In 17 TBL games he had 4.8ppg and 2.6rpg. He helped them to make it to the Turkish TBL final.
The most of previous (2023-24) season he spent at Merkezefendi (BSL) where in 20 games he recorded 3.2ppg and 2.2rpg in that year. Berke-Atar also played for Manisa (BSL). In two games he averaged just 2.0ppg in that year. He also played 3 games in FIBA Europe Cup, but he got only 0.7ppg in that year.
Berke-Atar represented Turkey at the European Championship (FIBA EuroBasket) U20 in Tel-Aviv (Israel) six years ago. His stats at that event were 6 games: 11.5ppg, 5.8rpg, 1.2apg, FGP: 45.8%, FT: 52.1%.
He has played previously professionally in Turkey (Darussafaka Lassa, Galatasaray, Bandirma and TEKSUT Bandirma BK) and North Macedonia (MZT Skopje).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-European Championship (FIBA EuroBasket) U20 Honorable Mention back in 2018.
