Marcquise Reed gets MVP of the Week award for Turkish BSL

Experienced American Marcquise Reed (190-SG-1995, agency: Octagon Europe) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Trabzonspor Medical Park Basketbol and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 18.
The 30-year old shooting guard had the game-high 31 points adding six rebounds and four assists for Trabzonspor in his team's victory, helping them to beat Bursaspor (#11, 6-12) 83-75. Trabzonspor maintains the 3rd position in Turkish BSL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Trabzonspor will need more victories to improve their 13-5 record. In the team's last game Reed had a remarkable 64.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Trabzonspor's top player in his first season with the team. Clemson University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Reed is league's best scorer averaging so far 23.1ppg. Reed is in league's top in assists (7th best: 5.3apg) and averages solid 62.3% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young British center Gabriel Olaseni (208-C-1991) of Mersin Buyuksehir Belediyesi Spor Mersin. Olaseni impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds. Of course Mersin Spor cruised to a 87-80 relatively comfortable win over the higher-ranked Bahcesehir (#4, 12-6). Mersin Spor's 12th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-12 record. Olaseni is well-known by Mersin Spor fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Canadian Kyle Alexander (208-C-1996) of Turk Telekom Ankara (#5). Alexander scored 12 points and grabbed 14 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Turk Telekom, leading his team to a 95-78 easy win against the lower-ranked Tofas (#10, 8-10). Turk Telekom needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 12 victories and 6 lost games. Alexander has a very solid season. In 14 games in Turkey he scored 11.6ppg. He also has 6.3rpg, 1.1bpg and a FGP of 73.4%.

9. Egehan Arna (202-SF-1997) of Erokspor - 13 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Ante Zizic (210-C-1997) of Besiktas - 11 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
