BC Kyiv Basket (Superleague) added to their roster 33-year old ex-international power forward Maksim Sandul (207cm-114kg-1991, agency: BIG) for new 2024-25 season. It is actually his comeback to Kyiv as he has played here before. He will still stay in Ukraine where he was top rebounder at Prometey in Ukrainian Higher League last season where in 22 games he had 9.0ppg, 7.5rpg and 2.0apg. He helped them to win the Higher League title and they also made it to the Cup final. A very impressive season as he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Ukrainian Higher League Finals MVP and named to Eurobasket.com All-Ukrainian Higher League Second Team. Sandul also played for another Ukrainian team Budivelnyk Kyiv earlier that season.
He was also a member of the Ukrainian international program for some years. Sandul played for Ukrainian Senior National Team back in 2016 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2011.
He represented Ukraine at the World University Games in Shenzhen (China) thirteen years ago. During this event he scored an average of 1.6 points per game and had 2.1 rebounds per game.
Sandul has played also in Poland (Twarde Pierniki), Spain (BAXI Manresa) and Ukraine (Zaporizhye, Ternopil-TNEU and Kyiv-Vovcha).
