WKS Slask Wroclaw (OBL) added to their roster 25-year old Ukrainian international point guard Issuf Sanon (194cm-78kg-1999) for season 2025-26. He was the top scorer at VEF Riga in Latvian LBL league. He managed to play in three leagues last year. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Latvian-Estonian Basketball League European Player of the Year, Eurobasket.com All-Latvian-Estonian Basketball League Player of the Year and Guard of the Year. Sanon also played 29 games in Lat-Est BL where he averaged 14.4ppg, 4.1rpg, 3.5apg and 2.2spg. For two previous seasons (2022-24) he played at SC Prometey Kamianske (Est BL) in Ukraine.
In 2018 he was drafted by Washington Wizards (NBA) in second round (44th overall).
He has been also a member of the Ukrainian international program for some years. Sanon has regularly played for the Ukrainian senior team since 2018 and previously for the Under 20 National Team back in 2019.
He also represented Ukraine at the FIBA World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers two years ago. During this event he scored an average of 8.9 points per game and had 2.4 rebounds per game.
Sanon is quite experienced player. He has played also in Latvia, Lithuania (Siauliai), Slovenia (Petrol Olimpija Ljubljana and Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana) and Ukraine (Dnipro and BK Dnipro 2nd team).
