WSLB Round 3 (Regular Season): Caledonia G. keep a leadership position

There were just three rounds played in Regular Season of WSLB and we can clearly see which teams will fight for top positions and which will try to avoid bottom places. Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

Gladiators defeated Hatters in Edinburgh 76-71. Caledonia G. made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 23 Sheffield H. turnovers. It was a good game for French guard Mathilde Domenger (170-2001) who led her team to a victory with 24 points. American swingman Tierra Hodges (175-1998, college: Furman) contributed with 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American forward Megan Mullings (185-1992, college: Alaska-Anch., agency: Crossover Management) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds for Sheffield H.Hatters will play next round against Manchester trying to get back on the winning streak. Gladiators will try to continue on its current victory against Cardiff MA. at home.
Another exciting game for Leicester R. (2-1) which played on the court of Manchester (1-2). Leicester R. saved the game by a tiny margin of three points 97-94. It was a great evening for who led her team to a victory scoring 22 points and 6 assists. Brooke Bigott helped adding 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was Estonian power forward Maaja Bratka (190-1992, agency: LBM Management) with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Manchester's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Leicester R. will play against London (#7) on the road in the next round. Manchester will play against Sheffield H. to get more than just one victory in their record.
The game between Archers (0-2) and Rebels (1-1) in Cardiff on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Essex outscored Archers 94-53. It was a quality performance for Natalie Chou who led the winners and scored 14 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Amelia Scharpf came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for Cardiff MA. in the defeat. Rebels will meet at home Oaklands W. (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Archers will play against Caledonia G. (#1) in Edinburgh and hope to get finally their first victory.

In the last two games of round 3 winless Nottingham was beaten by Oaklands W. on the road 77-62. Newcastle E. destroyed London on its own court 79-60.

Cardiff MA. - Essex R. 53-94

The game between Archers (0-2) and Rebels (1-1) in Cardiff on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Essex outscored Archers 94-53. Essex R. dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Archers's 28. Essex R. forced 21 Cardiff MA. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Cardiff MA.'s players. It was a quality performance for American guard Natalie Chou (185-1997, college: UCLA) who led the winners and scored 14 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Her fellow American import center Rhema Ogele (190-2003, college: Portland St.) accounted for 15 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Five Rebels players scored in double figures. came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and added 10 points respectively for Cardiff MA. in the defeat. Rebels will meet at home Oaklands W. (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Archers will play against Caledonia G. (#1) in Edinburgh and hope to get finally their first victory.

No shocking result in a game when Wolves (2-1) beat Wildcats (0-3) in St Albans 77-62 on Saturday. Oaklands W. dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Wildcats's 34. Oaklands W. forced 19 Nottingham turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American center Devon Brookshire (190-1994, college: SMC) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 5 rebounds. Her fellow American import forward Danielle McCray (185-1993, college: Ole Miss) accounted for 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. American guard Natalie Chou (185-1997, college: UCLA) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and her fellow the other American import import center Rhema Ogele (190-2003, college: Portland St.) added 17 points respectively for Nottingham in the defeat. Very expected game when Lions (1-2) were smashed by Eagles (2-0) in Newcastle 79-60 on Saturday. Newcastle E. forced 22 London turnovers and outrebounded them 42-22 including a 30-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Andrea Daley who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals. Spanish guard Maria Mongomo (175-1995, college: UNBC) accounted for 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Four Eagles players scored in double figures. American center Devon Brookshire (190-1994, college: SMC) came up with 19 points and 4 assists and her fellow the other American import import forward Danielle McCray (185-1993, college: Ole Miss) added 22 points respectively for London in the defeat. Lions' coach tested eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Eagles will meet Nottingham (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Lions will play against Leicester R. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
