British WNBL D1 round 9 best performance: Janice Monakana (by Hoops Agents)

International Forward Janice Monakana (183-F-1995) had a great game in the last round for London Cavaliers, receiving a Hoops Agents WNBL D1 Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 30-year old player had a double-double of 28 points and 11 rebounds, while her team beat Anglia Ruskin U. (#5, 4-4) 67-61. London C. maintains the 3rd position in British WNBL D1. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. London C. will need more victories to improve their 5-2 record. Monakana turned to be London C.'s top player in her first season with the team. Former The University of Toledo star has very solid stats this year. Monakana is in league's top in points (4th best: 19.0ppg) and averages impressive 2.8spg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Adaora Dioramma (2006) of league's leader CoLA Southwark Pride London. Dioramma had a very good evening with a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds. Of course CoLA cruised to a 84-72 relatively comfortable win over Bromsgrove B. (#12, 0-7). Of course CoLA still keep the league's top spot. Her team has currently 7-2 record. Dioramma is one of the most experienced players at CoLA and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another CoLA's star - guard Chandera Jones-Aryeh (170-G-1999). Jones-Aryeh showcased her all-around game by recording 16 points, 5 rebounds and 14 assists (!!!) in the last round. She was another key player of CoLA Southwark Pride London, helping her team with a 84-72 win against Bromsgrove B. (#12, 0-7). CoLA confirms their top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 2 lost games. Jones-Aryeh has a very solid season. In 2 games in United Kingdom she scored 9.5ppg.
