The University of Tennessee signed 21-year-old British 6-2 forward Fatmata Janneh for the upcoming season. Originally from London, United Kingdom, she is coming from Texas A&M University where she played for one year. In 27 games last season, she averaged 11.4ppg, 9.7rpg, 1.1apg, and 1.4spg.
She played also at Barking Abbey London Lions II between 2020-22 and then at Saint Peter's University for two seasons. Her team won the English WBBL Cup in 2022. Janneh was voted to the All-MAAC First Team in 2025. She was selected to the MAAC All-Rookie Team in 2024.
Janneh represented the United Kingdom at the FIBA U20 Women's European Championship Division B in Craiova (Romania) three years ago. During this event, she scored an average of 15 points per game and had rebounds per game.
Among many awards, she was also voted to Eurobasket.com All-English WNBL Second Team and Eurobasket.com All-FIBA U20 Women's European Championship Division B Honorable Mention in 2023.
