Green Jr. number one in VTB United League for round 4

American Point guard Wendell Green Jr. (180-PG-2002) had a great game in the last round for Avtodor Saratov, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 24-year old player was the main contributor (33 points, five rebounds and seven assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat MBA Moscow (#9, 1-3) 94-83. Avtodor maintains the 6th position in VTB United League . Avtodor is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-3 record. In the team's last game Green Jr. had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 12 attempts. He turned to be Avtodor's top player in his first season with the team. Former Auburn University star has very solid stats this year. Green Jr. is in league's top in points (2nd best: 20.8ppg) and assists (8th best: 5.0apg).

The second best player in last round's games was young American Melo Trimble (188-G-1995, agency: Pensack Sports) of league's leader PBC CSKA Moscow. Trimble had a very good evening with 23 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course he led CSKA to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Enisey (#8, 1-3) 85-59. Of course CSKA still keep the league's top spot. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 5 games without any defeat. Trimble is well-known at CSKA and is a proven leader in his second season with the team. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.0ppg (#5). He also recorded 5.6 assists per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Danil Pevnev (203-F-2000) of MBA-MAI Moscow (#9). Pevnev scored 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Despite Pevnev's great performance the MBA Moscow lost 83-94 to the higher-ranked Avtodor (#6, 3-3). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. MBA Moscow can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-3 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Pevnev has individually a great season in VTB United League. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 7.0rpg (6th best).
