Best players of WABA 2 League round 2

Talented Ela Modric (182-F/C-2008) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's leader Akson Ilirija Basketball and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents DB Player of the Week award for round 2.
The 18-year old power forward had a double-double of 19 points and 13 rebounds, while her team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team Primorje (#7, 0-2) with 23-point margin 86-63. It allowed Ilrija to jump to the first place in the WABA League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Ilrija has a very solid 3-1 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. Modric has many years of experience at Ilrija, through which she has constantly improved. Modric has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in rebounds (6th best: 6.5rpg), assists (6th best: 4.0apg) and averages solid 76.9% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young DR Congolese center Abigael Kongolo (190-C-2007) of ZKK Primorje Herceg Novi. Kongolo impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 17 points and 17 rebounds. Bad luck as Primorje lost that game 63-86 to Ilrija (3-1). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Kongolo is a newcomer at Primorje and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Tatum Forbes (170-G-2003) of ZKK Sea Stars (#8). Forbes scored 26 points and passed 9 assists. Despite Forbes' great performance the Sea Stars lost 72-83 to Ilrija (#1, 3-1). But her team cannot count on just a single shooter as she also needs help of the other teammates. Forbes has individually a great season in WABA League. After only 2 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 26.0ppg (best scorer) and assists with 8.0apg (best passer).
