Mia Loyd gets MVP of the Week award for WBBL

Experienced American Mia Loyd (181-F-1994, agency: LBM Management) had a great game in the last round for TTT Riga and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 30-year old forward had a double-double of 30 points and 15 rebounds, while her team beat TSA Tallinn (#5, 4-7) 88-74. TTT Riga maintains the 4th position in WBBL . TTT Riga is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-5 record. In the team's last game Loyd had a remarkable 69.2% from 2-point range. She turned to be TTT Riga's top player in her first season with the team. University of North Dakota graduate has very impressive stats this year. Loyd is league's best scorer averaging so far 30.0ppg and leads league in rebounds with 10.2rpg. Loyd is in league's top in assists (7th best: 3.6apg) and averages solid 59.7% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American guard Malia Bambrick (178-G-2000) of Siauliu Siauliai. Bambrick impressed basketball fans with 31 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. It was enough for Siauliai to edge slightly lower-ranked Liepaja/LSSS (#8, 1-11) by 2 points 84-82. Despite this victory Siauliai slide down in the standings to 6th position. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-8 record. Bambrick is well-known by Siauliai fans and she already established her position as one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.1ppg (#2). She also registered 5.7 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Giedre Labuckiene (192-C-1990) of top-ranked Vilniaus Kibirkstis-MRU. Labuckiene showcased her all-around game by recording 16 points, 12 rebounds (!!!) and 6 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Kibirkstis-MRU, leading her team to a 113-48 easy win against the lower-ranked TSA Tallinn (#5, 4-7). Kibirkstis-MRU have amazing season winning all 13 games without a single defeat. Labuckiene turns to be one of the very best players in the league while she is also a leader of the top team having her eyes on the championship title. Labuckiene has a great season in WBBL. After 12 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 14.3ppg (9th best) and rebounds with 8.3rpg (2nd best). She also has 1.2bpg and a FGP of 55.2%.
