Kibirkstis-MRU held RSU to an opponent 23.7 percent shooting from the field compared to 47.9 percent accuracy of the winners and made 24-of-28 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game, while RSU only scored eight points from the stripe. Kibirkstis-MRU forced 21 RSU turnovers and outrebounded them 41-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. Kibirkstis-MRU players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by RSU's players. RSU was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of center Daugile Use (196-1996) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 9 rebounds. Center Giedre Labuckiene (192-1990) contributed with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Kibirkstis-MRU players scored in double figures. Forward Una Steinharde (170-2001) answered with 10 points and 4 assists and Ieva Tomina added 5 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for RSU. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
