It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of TTT Riga. They outrebounded TTT Riga 42-31 including 29 on the defensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Kibirkstis made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was center Daugile Use (196-1996) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 19 rebounds. American guard Japreece Dean (168-1996, college: UCLA) chipped in 14 points and 4 assists. Guard Ieva Pulvere (172-1990) produced 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the hosts. Worth to mention a great performance of Karolina Kazociunaite who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Laura Grunmann responded with 22 points and 5 rebounds. TSA Tallinn's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Alytaus (1-4) left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with Aistes-LSMU. It was TSA Tallinn's fifth loss in a row. They dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. Alytaus will meet at home higher ranked TTT Riga (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. TSA Tallinn will have a break next round.
