Russia booked final spot in the FIBA World Cup 2022 in Sydney as they overcame Puerto Rico 102-68. Russia haven't been in the World Cup since 2010 and after 12 years later, they are back.
Russia started with a 22-11 lead and never looked behind. They dominated the whole game to reach the win. Raisa Musina (191-F/C-98) top-scored for the winners with 20 points and Elizaveta Komarova (174-PG-95) as well as Nina Glonti (188-C-97, agency: LBM Management) had 18 each. Jazmon Gwathmey (188-G-93, college: JMU) replied with 27 points in a loss, whilst Isalys Quinones (190-C/F-97, college: Dartmouth) produced 17.
