Regular Season Round 8: Flamurtari - Pogradeci 74-93

Pogradeci has finally registered their first victory this season after seven consecutive losses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in Vlore, where they outplayed Flamurtari (0-8) 93-74 on Saturday. Pogradeci dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Flamurtari 's 44. Pogradeci looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Christain Taylor (195-2001, college: FMU) who had a double-double by scoring 30 points, 13 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. Kevin Granzan chipped in 23 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Taylor is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Pogradeci players scored in double figures. Pogradeci's coach Gezim Serdari used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Austin Holt (198-2001, college: Hamline) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 20 rebounds and the other his fellow American import import guard Quincy Ademokoya (198-2002, college: S.Florida) added 33 points (!!!) respectively for the hosts. Pogradeci (1-7) left bottom position moving up to tenth place, which they share with Partizani. It was Flamurtari 's eighth loss in a row. Flamurtari at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with eight games lost.
