Rather predictable result in Korce where second rankedTirana (20-3) outscored 5th ranked Skenderbeu (14-9) 151-72 on Monday. Tirana dominated down low during the game scoring 102 of its points in the paint compared to Skenderbeu 's 38. Tirana forced 28 Skenderbeu turnovers and outrebounded them 54-37 including 22 on the offensive glass. Tirana looked well-organized offensively handing out 54 assists comparing to just 21 passes made by Skenderbeu 's players. It was a great evening for the former international guard Richard Lilaj (189-2002) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 15 assists and 5 steals. The former international forward Aleksis Nika (201-2004, college: Dawson CC) helped adding 11 points, 7 rebounds and 13 assists. Five Tirana players scored in double figures. Tirana's coach Erkand Karaj felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Leonel Nasi (194-2008) responded with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Endri Habipi (-1988) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for Tirana . They maintain second place with 20-3 record having just two points less than leader Beselidhja. Newly promoted Skenderbeu keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. They share it with Teuta.
