An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Wels. Second ranked Redwell Gunners Oberwart faced 3rd placed Raiffeisen Wels. Guests from Oberwart (7-2) defeated host Raiffeisen Wels (6-4) 89-83. Raiffeisen Wels were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. It was a great evening for American guard Chris McNealy (194-92, college: Cal-Irvine) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 6 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Derek Jackson (185-91, college: Kent St., agency: Mansfield and Associates) helped adding 20 points and 6 assists. The former international Davor Lamesic (205-83, agency: Interperformances) responded with 30 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard DeJuan Wright (190-88, college: FIU) scored 22 points and 7 rebounds. Redwell Gunners Oberwart have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Loser Raiffeisen Wels keep the third place with four games lost. Redwell Gunners Oberwart will meet Dukes (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Raiffeisen Wels will play against Kapfenberg Bulls (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
