Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Baku:Neftci (#5) and Absheron (#3). Absheron was defeated at home 76-84 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Neftci had a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Leon Polite nailed 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and American guard DeAngelo Stewart (197-1995, college: PFW) accounted for 16 points and 7 rebounds. Four Neftci players scored in double figures. Point guard Larry Robinson III (181-1999, college: New Orleans) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 assists and American forward Jalen Shaw (208-2000, college: Clayton St.) added 12 points and 15 rebounds respectively for Absheron in the defeat. Neftci have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 4-6 record. Loser Absheron keeps the third position with five games lost. They share it with Serhedci.
