Regular Season Round 15: Sheki - Absheron 85-92

Not a big story in a game when 5th ranked Sheki (2-14) was defeated at home by second ranked Absheron (14-2) 92-85 on Sunday. Absheron outrebounded Sheki 46-32 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Absheron looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The game was also dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was swingman DeOndre Jackson (192-1996, college: PBA, agency: MSG) who scored 29 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Jalen Shaw (208-2000, college: Clayton St.) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. Jackson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Absheron's coach Erhan Toker used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Tyland Crawford (190-1998, college: NDC, agency: 6th Man Basketball Agency) who recorded 19 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and point guard Alex Caldwell (183-1999, college: UNC Asheville) added 21 points and 4 assists respectively. Absheron maintains second place with 14-2 record behind leader Ordu. Sheki lost their eleventh game in a row. They keep the fifth position with 14 games lost.
