Fourth-rankedSumqayit (6-11) made lots of trouble for second ranked Nakhchivan (13-4) on Thursday. The visitors managed to secure only three-point victory 110-107 . However their fans expected easier game. Nakhchivan shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 59.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Sumqayit 's players. American forward Jamaal Brantley (198-1993, college: Cameron, agency: BIG) fired a triple-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 13 assists for the winners. Canadian guard Dondre Reddick (190) chipped in 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Brantley is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Nakhchivan players scored in double figures. American guard Keon Clergeot (185-1996, college: SE Louisiana) produced 43 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 6 assists and his fellow American import swingman CJ Jones (198-1998, college: MTSU, agency: JCK Sports Group) added 33 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Nakhchivan maintains second position with 13-4 record having just three points less than leader Ordu. Sumqayit at the other side dropped to the third place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Guba and Serhedci.
