There was no surprise when 22th ranked LatvianLiepaja (2-8) was outplayed by fifth ranked Estonian Askus (7-3) 71-51 on Saturday. Askus dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Liepaja 's 34. They outrebounded Liepaja 46-24 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Robert Randmaa fired a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Jesper Kalmus chipped in 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Eduards Kinens produced 17 points and Gustavs Jaunsleinis added 12 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Despite that victory Askus went down to ninth position due to points difference. Loser Liepaja dropped to the bottom place with eight games lost.
