Regular Season Round 29: Grodno GrSU - Rubon II 98-55

Premier League top team -Grodno GrSU (17-3) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Rubon II (3-18) 98-55 . Grodno GrSU dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Rubon II 's 26. Grodno GrSU forced 32 Rubon II turnovers and outrebounded them 47-22 including a 21-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Grodno GrSU looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. The best player for the winners was center Kirill Tkachenko (202-2008) who scored 23 points and 9 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Forward Georgy Fastov (187-2005) chipped in 15 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. Four Grodno GrSU players scored in double figures. Point guard Kirill Prokopenkov (183-2000) produced 15 points and 6 assists and forward Gleb Tumashik (200-2006) added 17 points (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Grodno GrSU . Despite that victory Grodno GrSU went down to second position due to points difference. Rubon II lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the seventh place with 18 games lost.
