Second Stage Round 3: Gorizont - BC Minsk 68-76

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Minsk:BC Minsk (#1) and Gorizont (#2). Gorizont was defeated at home 68-76 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Gorizont. BC Minsk looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Alena Tsitavets (180-2003) who scored 8 points, 17 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Swingman Yana Borisevich (181-2006) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Olga Trigribtseva (184-2007) who recorded a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds and forward Daria Degtyareva (181-2007) added 16 points respectively. Four Gorizont players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
