We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 8th rankedRubon II (11-11) was rolled over on the road by ninth ranked Gomel (9-14) 98-67 on Saturday. Gomel forced 23 Rubon II turnovers and outrebounded them 63-36 including a 27-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. Gomel looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. DR Congolese point guard Givenchy Ngimbi (182-2005) had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Kiril Sislovskyi (-2005) chipped in 15 points during the contest. Four Gomel players scored in double figures. Gomel's coach Timofey Verevkin felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. point guard Anton Makhanovskiy (170-2005) responded with 16 points and 7 rebounds and forward Gleb Tumashik (200-2006) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Gomel have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain ninth position with 9-14 record. Loser Rubon II keeps the eighth place with 11 games lost.
