Rather expected game when 9th rankedGomel (9-15) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Grodno GrSU (19-5) 73-56 on Saturday. Grodno GrSU dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Gomel 's 28. Grodno GrSU forced 25 Gomel turnovers. Guard Evgeniy Savostyan (193-2003) fired 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Forward Georgy Fastov (187-2005) chipped in 13 points. Grodno GrSU's coach Artur Orlovec used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Russian guard Danil Kanishev (190-2005) produced 17 points and 9 rebounds and DR Congolese point guard Givenchy Ngimbi (182-2005) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Grodno GrSU have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with SDUSHOR. Gomel at the other side keeps the ninth position with 15 games lost.
