There was no surprise in Vitebsk where 5th rankedRubon (13-17) was defeated by second ranked BC Minsk (22-8) 85-72 on Thursday. BC Minsk forced 22 Rubon turnovers. The former international forward Benjamin-Pavel Dudu (198-1991, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) fired 16 points for the winners. Svyatoslav Kovalev (-2000) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. Russian forward Ivan Zimin (191-2003) produced 15 points and Russian center Artem Kovalenko (205-2005) added 6 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. BC Minsk have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 22-8 record having just three points less than leader Grodno GrSU, which they share with Borisfen. Rubon at the other side keeps the fifth place with 17 games lost.
