Regular Season Round 2: Yambol - Spartak Pleven 87-73

Yambol used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Pleven 87-73 on Saturday night. Yambol dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Spartak Pleven's 32. Yambol had a 41-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Alan Arnett (196, college: Georgia SW) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and the other American import guard Bryquis Perine (190-88, college: Green Bay) supported him with 12 points and 6 assists. Even a double-double of 24 points and 11 rebounds by Serbian-Hungarian guard Davorin Kuntic (186-92, agency: Mansfield and Associates) did not help to save the game for Spartak Pleven. American forward Cedrick Bowen (198-92, college: Charleston So.) added 10 points and 10 rebounds for the guests. Four Spartak Pleven players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Yambol will meet Beroe (#3) in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Spartak Pleven will play against Levski 2014 (#5) and hope to win that game.
