Rilski rolled past Akademik PL to earn NBL Bronze. The game was mostly controlled by Rilski. Academik Plovdiv was better in second period 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rilski players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. American point guard Derek Wright (180-86, college: Austin Peay St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 assists. The former international guard Zlatin Georgiev (197-85) contributed with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The former international Martin Durchev (203-87) replied with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and international Dimitar Dimitrov (203-93, agency: Interperformances) added 21 points and 4 steals in the effort for Academik Plovdiv. Five Rilski and four Academik Plovdiv players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
