Regular Season Round 2: SBS Ostrava - Trutnov 88-56

One of the most interesting games of round 2 was a derby match between two teams from Czech Republic.SBS Ostrava outleveled visiting Trutnov 88-56 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Trutnov. SBS Ostrava dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Trutnov 's 30. SBS Ostrava forced 20 Trutnov turnovers and outrebounded them 36-21 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. SBS Ostrava players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Trutnov 's players. Marina Ewodo scored 20 points to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Aleah Nelson (168-2001, college: Temple) chipped in 20 points and 4 assists (perfect from downtown making all six shots !!!) during the contest. Croatian center Katarina Trehub (192-1997) responded with 13 points and American guard Kaia Harrison (172-2001, college: Wake Forest) scored 9 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
