Everything went according to plan when second rankedSplit (25-6) beat at home 11th ranked Dubrovnik (8-23) 93-89 . However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Split made 24-of-27 charity shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Dubrovnik was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for the former international forward David Skara (203-1995, college: Clemson) who led the winners and scored 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. American Shannon Shorter (193-1989, college: N.Texas) accounted for 22 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Four Split players scored in double figures. Ethiopian-American guard Eyassu Worku (188-1998, college: UC Irvine) came up with 17 points and 4 assists and the former international center Luksa Andric (208-1985) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Dubrovnik in the defeat. Dubrovnik's coach Darko Kunce rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Split . They maintain second place with 25-6 record having just three points less than leader Zadar. Dubrovnik at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 23 games lost.
