Very expected game when bottom-rankedSplit (0-4) was smashed at home by top-ranked Ragusa (4-0) 74-34 on Saturday. Ragusa dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Split 's 24. Ragusa forced 25 Split turnovers and outrebounded them 33-21 including 21 on the defensive glass. Ragusa looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Split 's players. The winners were led by Serbian center Jelena Zoric (185-1992) who scored that evening 14 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and the former international guard Lina Strilic (174-2003) supported her with 12 points and 6 assists. Even 6 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by Bosnian point guard Dragana Domuzin (174-2000) did not help to save the game for Split . The former international guard Lana Packovski (172-1994) added 10 points for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ragusa have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Tresnjevka. Newly promoted Split still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Medvescak and Zadar Plus.
