Regular Season Round 12: Samobor - Split 86-122

Premijer Liga top team -Split (11-1) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Samobor (6-6) 122-86 . Split made 34-of-36 free shots (94.4 percent) during the game, while Samobor only scored ten points from the stripe. They outrebounded Samobor 33-22 including 25 on the defensive glass. Split shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The winners were led by the former international guard Antonio Jordano (191-1999) who scored that evening 40 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and American center Jake Stephens (213-1999, college: Chattanooga) supported him with 21 points and 11 rebounds (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!). Five Split players scored in double figures. Split's coach Dino Repesa felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 25 points by Dino Cinac (201-1988, agency: Alti Sport) did not help to save the game for Samobor . The former international Luka Krajnovic (192-2004, college: Gonzaga) added 7 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Split have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-1 record, which they share with Zadar. Newly promoted Samobor dropped to the fourth place with six games lost. They share the position with Cibona.
