There was no surprise in Zagreb where bottom-rankedMedvescak (0-12) was defeated by tenth ranked KAZL Split (3-9) 56-51 on Saturday. KAZL Split forced 19 Medvescak turnovers. Strangely Medvescak outrebounded KAZL Split 46-34 including 33 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Aliyah-Deen Ahmad (170-1998, college: FMU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 9 rebounds, 10 assists and 8 steals and the other American import guard Lauren Wasylson (183, college: Duquesne) who added 18 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Iva Medic (182-2008) with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 17 rebounds and guard Katarina Sekulic (175-2004) scored 9 points and 9 rebounds. KAZL Split moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Zadar Plus. Loser Medvescak still closes the standings with 12 games lost.
