The game between closely ranked teams ended with 10th rankedZadar Plus ' (3-12) home loss to ninth ranked KAZL Split (5-11) 75-78 on Saturday. KAZL Split made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 25 Zadar Plus turnovers. Strangely Zadar Plus outrebounded KAZL Split 50-29 including a 36-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by American guard Aliyah-Deen Ahmad (170-1998, college: FMU) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals and the other American import guard Lauren Wasylson (183, college: Duquesne) supported her with 22 points and 7 rebounds (made all of her eight free throws). Four KAZL Split players scored in double figures. KAZL Split's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even a double-double of 18 points, 20 rebounds and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) by American center Brooke Flowers (195-2000, college: St.Louis) did not help to save the game for Zadar Plus . Bosnian swingman Sara Herceg (175-2001) added 25 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. KAZL Split moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Zadar. Zadar Plus lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 12 games lost.
