Date: January 5, 2015
The game in Copenhagen supposed to be also worth to mention about. 5th ranked Randers (8-7) played at the court of seventh ranked SISU (7-8). SISU smashed Randers 123-100. It looked good early as Randers took an 2-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then SISU had a 39-17 second period charge getting the lead and Randers were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 100-123. SISU players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Randers' players. It was a good game for American guard Darryl Partin (198-87, college: Boston U.) who led his team to a victory with 44 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import power forward Joe Benjamin (197-83, college: W.Virginia St.) contributed with 26 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American forward Jahmar Thorpe (198-84, college: Houston) answered with 27 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international swingman Chris Nielsen (192-85) added 28 points in the effort for Randers. Four Randers players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. SISU maintains seventh place with 7-8 record. Randers lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with seven games lost. SISU's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Horsens IC in Horsens and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Randers will play at home against Vaerlose and hope to win that game.
