Regular Season Round 13: Svendborg - Randers 119-111

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Randers' (5-9) road loss to fourth ranked Svendborg (7-6) 111-119 on Wednesday. Svendborg outrebounded Randers 39-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American forward Darious Moten (198-92, college: Mercer) stepped up and scored 28 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and British power forward Liam Potter (213-86, college: Sacred Heart) chipped in 26 points and 8 rebounds. Svendborg's coach Craig Pedersen used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side the former international swingman Chris Nielsen (192-85) responded with 41 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and American guard D.J. Smedley (180-84, college: Ill.-Chicago) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Svendborg maintains fourth place with 7-6 record. Loser Randers dropped to the sixth position with nine games lost. Svendborg will meet league's second-placed Naestved on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Randers will play against Bakken (#3) and hope to secure a win.
