Regular Season Round 15: Bakken - Stevnsgade 80-72

Very expected game in Aarhus where 7th ranked Stevnsgade (3-12) was defeated by second ranked Bakken (10-3) 80-72 on Sunday. Stevnsgade trailed by 12 points at halftime and as many as 22 after three quarters before a 23-9 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 72-80 at the end of the game. Strangely Stevnsgade outrebounded Bakken 37-25 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Sebastian Petersen (188-95) who scored 15 points and 4 assists. The former international guard Darko Jukic (199-90, agency: Two Points) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. Five Bakken players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Adrian Moss (204-81, college: Florida) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import power forward Alonzo Brooks (201-84, college: Central Mo.) added 16 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Bakken maintains second place with 10-3 record having seven points less than leader Horsens IC. Newly promoted Stevnsgade keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost. Bakken will meet at home bottom-ranked SISU (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Stevnsgade will play against Svendborg and hope to secure a win.
