The game in Horsholm was also worth to mention about. 4th ranked Svendborg (11-8) played at the court of sixth ranked Horsholm (6-10). Horsholm managed to secure a 9-point victory 96-87. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Svendborg. It looked good early as Svendborg took a 5-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Horsholm had a 29-22 second period charge getting the lead and Svendborg was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 87-96. American forward Drew Maynard (200-89, college: Rochester, MI) notched 30 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import forward Evan Yates (198-91, college: Ashland) supported him with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Yates is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Horsholm's coach Rafael Monclova allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 13 points and 12 assists by Argentinian-Italian point guard Antonio Porta (187-83, agency: Players Group) did not help to save the game for Svendborg. American guard Brandon Rozzell (188-89, college: VCU) added 21 points. Four Svendborg players scored in double figures. Horsholm maintains sixth position with 6-10 record. Svendborg at the other side keeps the fourth place with eight games lost. Horsholm will play against Stevnsgade (#7) on the road in the next round. Svendborg will play against the league's leader Horsens IC and hopes to get back on the winning track.
