Regular Season Round 27: Stevnsgade - Naestved 59-85

The game in Stevnsgade supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Naestved (17-11) played at the court of 7th ranked Stevnsgade (5-23). Naestved smashed Stevnsgade 85-59 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Naestved led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Stevnsgade's 30. Naestved looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Stevnsgade's players. The best player for the winners was American guard Caleb Walker (193-89, college: Nebraska) who scored 25 points and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Troy Franklin (183-89, college: Coppin St.) chipped in 18 points and 5 assists. Four Naestved players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Alonzo Brooks (201-84, college: Central Mo.) who recorded 16 points and 6 rebounds and French Bruno Cingala-Mata (200-93) added 5 points and 10 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Naestved maintains third place with 17-11 record having eight points less than leader Horsens IC. Newly promoted Stevnsgade dropped to the bottom. They share the position with SISU.
