Regular Season Round 4: Stevnsgade - Naestved 70-97

Naestved can celebrate their first win this season after one consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Stevnsgade, where they outplayed Stevnsgade (0-4) 97-70. The game without a history. Naestved led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Stevnsgade's 34. They outrebounded Stevnsgade 38-27 including a 29-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Senegalese forward Cheikh Sane (207-92, college: Marshall, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American guard Deon Mitchell (186-93, college: N.Iowa) contributed with 17 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Naestved's coach Milan Skobalj felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American power forward Davie Champagnie (205-90, college: Martin Methodist) replied with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import forward Nathan Gibbs (203, college: Westmont) added 21 points and 5 assists in the effort for Stevnsgade. Five Naestved and four Stevnsgade players scored in double figures. Naestved (1-1) left bottom position moving up to sixth place. Stevnsgade at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Naestved will play against higher ranked Horsholm (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Stevnsgade will play against Svendborg (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
