Second Stage Round 11: Amager - Vaerlose 86-79

There was a small surprise in Kastrup where tenth ranked Amager (8-20) defeated 8th ranked Vaerlose (12-16) 86-79. Amager players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Mitch Pelissier (190-1997, college: Concordia, IL) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. His fellow American import guard Jordan Johnson (198-1998, college: Concordia, WI) accounted for 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. Pelissier is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Point guard Balsa Veljic (184-2000) came up with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Adam Heede-Andersen (187-1996, college: St.Cloud St.) added 10 points and 8 assists respectively for Vaerlose in the defeat. Four Vaerlose players scored in double figures. Vaerlose's coach Mathias Madsen tested twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Amager maintains tenth place with 8-20 record. Vaerlose at the other side keeps the eighth position with 16 games lost.
