There was no surprise in Kouvola where 8th rankedKouvot (4-7) was crushed by second ranked Seagulls (9-2) 106-87 on Friday. Seagulls dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Kouvot 's 40. Seagulls looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Kouvot 's players. The game was dominated by American players. It was a great evening for Curtis Hollis (198-1998, college: Hutchinson) who led his team to a victory scoring 30 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Tevin Olison (194-1998, college: YSU, agency: One Motive Sports) helped adding 27 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Hakim Hart (203-2001, college: Villanova, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Thomas Gipson (201-1993, college: Kansas St.) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four Kouvot players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Seagulls have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Kataja. Loser Kouvot keeps the eighth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Honka.
