Bottom-ranked Forssan Alku (0-13) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 13th consecutive match to seventh ranked Vimpelin Veto (4-9) 91-90 on Saturday evening. ViVe looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Center Cayro-lyza Toomingas (185-2003) fired a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds for the winners. American Michaela Porter (182-1999, college: App State) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points, 16 rebounds and 6 assists. American-Mexican guard Alexis Cortez (183-1997, college: Utah Valley, agency: Interperformances) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds and guard Johanna Timperi (173-1998) added 21 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Four FoA players scored in double figures. ViVe maintains seventh place with 4-9 record. FoA lost their thirteenth game in a row. They still close the standings with 13 games lost. ViVe will meet higher ranked Pyrinto (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. FoA will play against BC Nokia (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
