Regular Season Round 19: Vilpas - Kouvot 79-85

There was a minor upset in Salo where 6th rankedVilpas (9-9) was defeated by eighth ranked Kouvot (8-10) 85-79 . Kouvot made 16-of-17 charity shots (94.1 percent) during the game. Kouvot outrebounded Vilpas 44-32 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Blake Francis (183-1998, college: Richmond) who led the winners and scored 36 points (!!!) (made all of his eight free throws). Center Topias Jokela (204-2004, agency: Blacktop Management) accounted for 7 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side. American guard Donovan Donaldson (185-1996, college: Tusculum) came up with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import forward Jermaine Marshall (198-2000, college: Samford) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Vilpas in the defeat. Kouvot maintains eighth place with 8-10 record. Vilpas lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost.
