The most exciting game of round 21 in the Korisliiga took place in Joensuu. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 3rd placedKarhubasket (13-7) to second ranked Kataja (14-6) 92-90 in the game for the second place. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Karhubasket. Kataja made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American guard KeShawn Curry (195-1998, college: VCU) who led his team to a victory with 30 points and 6 rebounds. The former international forward Thomas Tumba (196-2001) contributed with 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Curry is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The former international guard Andre Gustavson (197-1999, college: Richmond, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with 21 points and 5 steals and Eemi Luukkonen (203-2002) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Karhubasket. Four Karhubasket players scored in double figures. Karhubasket's coach Janne Koskimies rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kataja maintains second place with 14-6 record having four points less than leader Seagulls. Karhubasket at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost.
