Regular Season Round 14: Honka - Nokia Ak. 82-73

There was a minor upset when their close opponent Nokia Ak. (3-10) lost to tenth ranked Honka (3-11) in Espoo 73-82 on Friday. Forward Matias Rissanen (201-2003, college: CCSU) notched a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and swingman Joonatan Uunila (195-2007) supported him with 12 points and 5 assists. Four Honka players scored in double figures. Even 29 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) by guard William De Santana (183-2006) did not help to save the game for Nokia Ak.. Guard Otso Purmonen (186-2006) added 24 points and 9 rebounds for the guests. Despite that victory Honka went down to eleventh position due to points difference. Loser Nokia Ak. keeps the tenth place with ten games lost. Honka will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Nokia Ak. will play against KTP II (#5) in Kotka and hope to secure a win.
