Regular Season Round 3: Kouvot - Seagulls 77-97

There was an upset whenKouvot (1-2) was smashed by Seagulls (1-1) in Kouvola 97-77 on Friday. Seagulls made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Strangely Kouvot outrebounded Seagulls 48-35 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American center Rene Rougeau (198-1986, college: UNLV, agency: Blacktop Management) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Christian Keeling (191-1998, college: UNC) accounted for 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Seagulls' coach Timo Saukkola allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. International guard Samu Adler (198-2007) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and American guard Claudell Harris Jr (193-2002, college: MSU) added 13 points and 15 rebounds respectively for Kouvot in the defeat. Five Seagulls and four Kouvot players scored in double figures.
